The announcement text:
Private CPA firm seeks a Bookkeeper/Office Administrator. They will directly report to the Owner/President. The Bookkeeper is expected to perform multiple duties relating to the accounting functions of our firm within established deadlines. The Bookkeeper plays a critical role in the financial management of the CPA firm, ensuring timely payment of bills and accurate tracking and recording of expenses.



Statement of skills, knowledge & abilities:



- Associate degree in accounting or at least 3 years relevant experience

- Able to work in small team-oriented environment

- Must understand financial statements (balance sheet and P&L statement)

- Fluent in English

- Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must

- Insurance knowledge preferred but not required

- Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook

- Strong organizational skills; ability to work for various clients at the same time

- Polished appearance, excellent verbal and writing skills; must be a team player

- Experience working with spreadsheets and financial accounting software.

- Must have experience working with Practice CS

Responsibilities:



* Record cash receipts and disbursements



* Maintain accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll ledgers



* Prepare monthly bank reconciliations



* Prepare invoices



* Administrative duties to ensure that the office runs smoothly



• Assist in the preparation and recording of accounts payable and cash disbursement.

• Assist in the preparation and recording of accounts receivable and cash receipts.

• Assist in the posting of accounts to the General Ledger for accounts receivable, cash receipts, accounts payable, and cash disbursements.

• Reconcile records of bank transactions.

• Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.

• Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner.

• Perform other related duties as directed within the department.

* General ledger.

* Bank reconciliation.

* Collections.

* Monthly profit/loss statement.

* Assist with answering phones
